School

Last night, Ate Lyds asked me if I'd be able to join her this morning to go photograph a program most of the midwives' kids were in at their school. I agreed.

So this morning we took a trike to the school. Karissa joined us and she and I got a lot of stares as we were the only white people in the building. But I didn't mind, as most of the ones staring were cute little kids. :-D

Anyway, the first performance was some dancers and then everyone jubilantly sang the Philipino National Anthem. It was fun, I got video.

Then, Rain-Lyds (Ate Lyds' daughter), Maybel (Ate Bhel's daughter), and Mariel (Ate Bhel's other daughter) joined their kindergarten class and sang and danced to a song. It was really cute, especially since Mariel held her flag upside down... :-D

Next, Rain-Lyds recited a poem, but the microphone wasn't really on so no one could hear her. However, she looked really cute standing up there talking. After that came Maybel...Except she got stage fright...so she stood there looking terrified, then she covered her face and raced out of the spotlight. It was really cute. Except Ate Bhel wasn't too happy.

Johannah's dance troup was the last one we staid for. Her dancing was amazing! It was really fun to watch.

Enjoy the pictures from the morning!

I thought this was kinda cute. But in reality, Maybel's crying in her teacher's arms while Rain Lyds is smirking about it...

Sib Replacements

Since getting here, the midwives kids have replaced all my siblings so far except Nathan. I don't think I'll be able to find a replacement for him, since he's kind of special, but all of my other sibs have been replaced.

For instance, Claire and My-My remind me of Joy Anna. They smile and are full of life and fun. One nice thing is that I don't have to deal with them when they're fussy or grouchy. Instead, I can take them when they're happy and want to play.

Maybell and Mariel (sorry I don't have pics) remind of Joshua. Joshua is kind of known for mood swings and all sorts of interesting things. Maybell and Mariel are exactly the same way.

Finally, Johannah and Deborah's three kids remind me a *lot* of Isaac, Grace, and Promise. They're crazy and full of fun and love to play. I enjoy playing with them and teasing them, the same as I did my own siblings. Johannah especially reminds me of Grace. Today I was brushing my teeth at the apartment when Johannah invited herself over. Then, while I was brushing my teeth, she started imitating me, my exact postures and movements. The exact same way Grace would do. It was funny. Then she smiled sweetly at me and said, "My Mommy doesn't know I'm over here." Oh well. It was fun. :-D

Johannah's the one on the left. She's my little side-kick. Just kidding, she'd go crazy if she knew I just called her that. :-D
